RELATEDTOPICS CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A new family on their way back from the hospital with a newborn baby was involved in a crash Thursday afternoon.The Cape Coral Police Department said the crash was reported at the intersection of Burnt Store Road and Embers Parkway. A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but police said they are not in critical condition. The family was driving their black SUV when they said the driver came out of nowhere and they crashed into each other.Both the mother and newborn baby were taken to the hospital as a precaution but were not injured, according to the father. The father did say he was injured in the arm by an airbag that went off.
