@nascarcasm and Steve Luvender’s Twitter advanced search scavenger hunt

first_imgWhat is your favorite thing to do on Twitter? You’re probably saying to yourself, “Correcting people’s grammar in order to give myself an air of superiority.” The correct answer should have been, “Searching for old, bizarre tweets from NASCAR drivers.”Oh, there are some great ones. You see, like you and I, drivers had to learn Twitter, and the learning process provided some really good, head-scratching tweets. That’s why we’ve decided to offer you a chance to sift through them yourself.Introducing the NASCAR Twitter Advanced Search Scavenger Hunt. It’s very simple.• Access Twitter’s advanced search feature here -> https://twitter.com/search-advanced• Using the various search fields, see if you can track down the following tweetsFind a tweet that covers each of the following:• A one-word tweet from any driver• A tweet from a driver that did not age well• A tweet from a young driver experiencing issues in the airplane restroom due to turbulence• An old tweet from Landon Cassill where he sounds especially emo• A tweet from a driver complaining about his wife’s snoring• A tweet from a now part-time driver throwing vicious shade at a certain football team from Chicago• A tweet with a picture taken from inside the race car that isn’t from Brad Keselowski• A tweet from a young driver that screams “I AM A MILLENNIAL”• A tweet from a driver that is badly ratio’d• A tweet from a driver that literally makes no sense whatsoever• A tweet that was obviously sent by their PR person but not marked with “-PR”• Obvious pocket tweet that was never deleted• A tweet where a driver is humblebragging about backstage passes or some other form of VIP treatment• A tweet where the driver is desperately asking followers for some form of technical support• A tweet from Dale Jr. that is more than one day old that has fewer than 500 likes.Once you find them, take a screenshot and send them to us on Twitter.Happy searching!last_img read more

You have to get the right combo of bright colors for it to pop in a good way, and that won’t happen most of the time. It’s fine to have a few bright teams in each league. But personally, darker colors with understated designs usually look classy and timeless. Bright colors, when paired with modern or loud designs, can become dated extremely quickly. 545 posts 874 posts 26,195 the admiral Forums Home 1 71 oldschoolvikings Link to post Members what the hell is ccslc? 0 Location:Waxahachie, Texas 16,001 Share on other sites 403 posts Share this post 0 Sign in to follow this   habsfan1 If NHL teams wore colorful pants Weird topic.Although, I agree, of course.I wish all sports uniforms would embrace brighter colors, again. Then again the Blue Jackets wear red pants which is cool but their name is blue. But their name is the Columbus Blue JACKETS. As long as their jersey is blue, everything else is fine. Just like how the Red Sox can wear whatever they want as long as they keep the socks…red.Plus, the red shorts look really sharp. It’s a great thing that they have stayed away from the dull and overly repetitive monochrome look since the beginning and it hope it remains that way. It’s just too bad that a team with such gorgeous uniforms can’t ever win in them. I’m hoping we never get to the NFL level where teams are constantly mixing and matching pants with their different jerseys, though I would like to see how the Blue Jackets alternate pants look with their regular home and roads. 21 Share this post 924 posts Their sweaters use super-compressed Copperplate for the numbers. Share this post Link to post poser poser oddball Location:Tampa, FL Morgan33 71 i have no issue with black pants or navy pants, as long as the jersey has enough color to complement it.for instance, the flyers in neon orange sweaters and black pants look a whole lot better than they would look in orange pants. and i think that if the stars were to bring back kelly green, as rumors suggest, i think head-to-toe kelly would be a bit too much. kelly green on top of black pants would have just enough contrast to look really sharp.plus, from a merchandising standpoint, i think using dark subtle colors SOMEWHERE in the uniform allows the team to sell tshirts and hats in that color. allows flyers fans to buy hats that aren’t orange, if they’re wanting something subtle and fashionable without being too loud. best of both worlds. 0 oldschoolvikings IceCap Link to post 0 Member of the Right Brigade 1,259 Blue Falcon Link to post 0 xTr1pleXx All Activity ColeJ Link to post Share this post 201 Members Sports Logos 1,767 posts Location:Cincinnati 6 21,575 Buffalo Favourite Logos:Wild, Whalers, North Stars, Avalanche Share on other sites 1,259 Moderators 21,575 0 Always wondered why NHL teams didn’t experiment with….alternate pants. Some teams do.Who? Ponting warns Australia of bouncers at Oval against India

first_imgLONDON,  (Reuters) – Australia’s assistant coach Ricky Ponting expects India to select an extra fast bowler tomorrow to exploit the holders’ vulnerability to short-pitched deliveries seen in their scrappy win over the West Indies in the World Cup. The Caribbean pace battery terrorised Australia’s top order at Trent Bridge, reducing them to 38-4 in the eighth over, with Oshane Thomas hitting Usman Khawaja on the helmet in an illustration of the top order’s obvious discomfort.Steve Smith added 72 and Nathan Coulter-Nile hit 92 to help Australia build a respectable score, though the side still collapsed for 288 with one over left of their full quota.India preferred Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s swing to Mohammed Shami’s pace against South Africa, but they might sacrifice one of their two frontline spinners to accommodate a paceman at the Oval, Ponting suggested. “(Jasprit) Bumrah we know is a very good new ball bowler and I’m sure he’ll mix it up and bowl some short stuff and some full stuff,” Ponting told cricket.com.au referring to the currently top-ranked ODI bowler.“Bhuvneshwar will probably not worry you too much with his pace or his bouncers. Hardik (Pandya) can maybe rush you a little bit, so maybe they have a decision to make on the overall make up of their side.“Do they maybe go with only the one spinner and use (all-rounder) Kedar Jadhav as a second spinner and play another fast bowler? “We’ll worry about that in the next couple of days and make sure all the boys are prepared.”A three-time World Cup winner himself, Ponting said he would discuss the matter with Khawaja and Glenn Maxwell, who responded to one short delivery with an unusual attempt to pull the ball, only to lose his wicket.“Usman got hit again … so he’s had a few hits in the last few weeks. I haven’t spoken to him (to see) if he’s rattled, but that’s part and parcel of top order batting against brand new balls… “You’ve got to find a way to cope and a way to get through hostile spells knowing that it’s not going to last forever,” Ponting said.“It’s a bit of an uncharacteristic shot from (Maxwell) as well. He’s not a natural hooker and puller of the ball anyway,” said Ponting.“It’s just a little bit of a blip on the radar that we’ll have a chat about and make sure we’re prepared for the next game.”last_img read more
