The successful candidate mustdemonstrate their ability to work with and be sensitive to theeducational needs of diverse populations and support the College’scommitment to equity and student success.Applicants will discuss the application process, financial aid, andprogram information with professionalism throughout dailyinteractions and communications with students, families, andcounselors, including interviews, phone calls, emails andinformation sessions.The admission counselor should demonstrate an ability to workindependently as well as collaboratively with team members,faculty, students, alumni, administrators and staff. The ability towork days, evenings, and some weekends is required. Travel and avalid driver’s license are required.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:• Ability to work towards college-wide enrollment goals and useinterpersonal skills to recruit diverse student learners. Utilizephone, email, and mail to communicate with prospective students ina timely manner. Work with prospective students and families insupport of the College’s efforts to increase retention.• Demonstrate intellectual contributions linked to diversity,inclusion and/or inclusive excellence. Follow the expectation oftreating fellow employees, students and the institution’s guestsequitably.• Become familiar with recruitment territory. Create an individualrecruitment plan as well as participate in the creation of a teamrecruitment plan. The plan includes recruitment activities,participation in events/conferences/college fairs, communicationwith prospective students/families and networkingopportunities.• Ability to work independently, and to arrange informationsessions, set appointments and promote the College in a positivemanner.
