first_imgGeneralSummary/PurposeAdynamic research laboratory specializing in neuromedical controlsystems is seeking a research assistant with training and/orexperience in computational biology to carry out a projectanalyzing data related to neuralactivity.Specific Duties& ResponsibilitiesUnderthe direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the researchassistant will be provided a data set that includes nonhumanprimates executing a motor task. This independent research studywill be to relate the neural activity in premotor and primary motorregions of the brain to kinematic variables. The research assistantwill also study how these relationships change when motor areas arecompromised. Specifically, the research assistant will analyze howtracking specific commands degrades when motor areas arecompromised.
