The Nittany Lions hosted Johnson on an official visit this week. That would instantly change if Franklin can land Johnson in the coming weeks. Despite suffering a few losses to its incoming class of late, the Nittany Lions should be feeling optimistic about the latest update involving three-star recruit Joseph Johnson.Johnson is the No. 33 cornerback in his class, per 247Sports‘ composite rankings. The site’s internal rankings have him as a four-star, and No. 20 at his position.Some of the top schools in the country are in pursuit of him, including Ohio State and Texas A&M.NC State originally held a commitment from Johnson, but he decided to reopen his recruitment. The Wolfpack are still on his list of potential suitors though.
